An apparently drunk man identified in a video as a UTC student stumbled out of a Chattanooga bar, and drove his car into pedestrian areas on the university’s campus.

Dylan Buck, 20, was arrested and booked for driving under the influence, striking fixtures on the road, possession of a controlled substance and a handful of other offenses.

Matthew Herring, a UTC student who posted the video to YouTube, said he called the police after leaving the bar and saw that Buck was attempting to drive.

He began following Buck and continued to call the police for 40 minutes, he said, as Buck drove onto the campus and entered pedestrian areas in his vehicle.

“It was definitely scary to see him completely crush a hand railing by the library and go down six or seven steps into the main walkway area,” Herring said. “His car was a manual so he stalled it at least 20 times but kept going forward.”

Police eventually apprehended Buck after he “plowed through campus, nearly t-boning another vehicle when running a stop sign.”

“I have never in my life seen anything like this,” he said.
