How to make the Golden Thorn pepperoncini martini from Elsie’s Daughter

Like other drinks at Elsie's Daughter — a craft cocktail bar and French-Belgian eatery tucked away in The Hotel Chalet at the Chattanooga Choo Choo — the Golden Thorn is named after an Appalachian flower, with which the drink shares its flaxen hue. In a nod to fall, this flower thrives in cooler temps. The thorny name also seems appropriate given the sharp flavor of the drink, which is a salty, savory cocktail similar to a dirty martini that's made with pepperoncini rather than olive brine.
