I found it in the used-book section of a thrift store while on vacation.
It has been several months since I have taken the time to round up all of my loose mental squirrels, so here goes once again. And thank you in advance for bearing with me once again as I decidedly deviate from a singular-thought column into another set of random access musings.
From the title, you probably are pretty sure you know where this column is headed.
Most scam attempts are pretty transparent; this one was better than most.
I have often observed that we who live in the Bible Belt are blessed far more than we usually realize.
As this column goes to press, I am coming up on the first Sunday of June, which marks another happy milestone for me.

The first thing you should know is that the morning was cold, and I was in short sleeves.
If we were simply to view it from a cold, basic, unassailable, biological and scientific standpoint, a mother is a person who was born with a female reproductive system (uterus, Fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, etc.) and has given birth to another human being.
The latest disturbing trend, it seems, is something called transableism.
