Whitwell tops Marion County to force final game in District 6-A softball
SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. - After going an entire regular season without losing to another Class A team, Whitwell's softball team was just four outs from suffering its second such loss in as many days, and to the same opponent. Instead, the Lady Tigers rallied to plate three runs with two outs in the sixth and added an insurance run in the seventh to knock off Marion County 4-1.

SOUTH PITTSBURG, Tenn. - Normalcy returned to the District 6-A basketball tournament Monday. After a day of upsets Saturday, in which the lower-seeded teams won all four games, the higher seeds reclaimed dominance Monday, but just barely in the nightcap.
