Chattanooga is the next stop on the Joyce Meyer Ministries conference tour. The three-day event starts Thursday at UTC’s McKenzie Arena, 720 E. Fourth St. Each session includes a message from Meyer and worship with Martin Smith of Delirious with The Parachute Band.
Meyer is one of the world’s leading practical Bible teachers and a New York Times best-selling author. Her television and radio program, “Enjoying Everday Life,” is broadcast worldwide. Her latest book, “Eat the Cookie … Buy the Shoes,” coming April 13, is about finding spiritual balance.
Sessions are scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday, 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. April 9, and 10 a.m. April 10. Doors open two hours in advance, allowing time for visiting resource tables. Each session will last about two and a half hours. Interpretation for the deaf and hard of hearing will be provided in designated sections, which will be reserved until 30 minutes before each session starts.
A love offering will be taken at each session, but no ticket or registration is required.
Parking will be available at McKenzie Arena, but not on Friday morning. However, shuttles will run from parking lots at Finley Stadium, 1826 Chestnut St., from 6:45 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Parking is free, but the shuttle cost is $7 per person round-trip, and exact change is required. Car-poolers may want to drop off passengers at the arena so that only one person is riding the shuttle.
