The World-Famous Lipizzaner Stallions will perform tonight at McKenzie Arena.
The show will include many of the traditional movements and exercises presented at the renowned Spanish Riding School of Vienna, according to a news release.
Producer Gary Lashinsky handpicked many of the horses and riders who appear in this 40th anniversary edition of “Dancing With Horses,” a family-oriented attraction.
The graceful, ballet-like dance of the Lipizzaner Stallions took more than 400 years to produce. Among the show’s highlights are the spectacular leaps and maneuvers known as “Airs Above the Ground,” which were born on the battlefield.
A 1963 Disney movie, “The Miracle of the White Stallions,” depicting Gen. George S. Patton saving them from extinction at the end of World War II, created an even greater worldwide interest in this rare breed.
