The handbell ringers known as the Metropolitan Bells have set their spring concert schedule. The first show is Tuesday at First United Methodist Church, 3425 N. Ocoee St., in Cleveland, Tenn.
The final two concerts will be in Chattanooga: Friday, May 7, at Christ United Methodist Church, 8645 East Brainerd Road, and Thursday, May 13, at Brainerd United Methodist, 4315 Brainerd Road.
All of the programs start at 7:30 p.m.
The nonprofit group performs throughout the year on six octaves of Malmark bells and four octaves of Malmark choir chimes.
“The difficulty level is (exceptional),” said communications coordinator Shirley Baugh. “They try to have a wide variety of music to appeal to a varied audience.”
The ensemble is directed by charter member Gary Bynum. For details, call 899-3543, 535-3076 or 504-4679.
