After calling 18 witnesses, the state has rested its case in the trial of a former kindergarten teacher charged with 22 counts of child molestation.
The defense for Tonya Craft asked for her to be acquitted on 15 counts based on insufficient evidence from the state and dates that do not match testimony.
Superior Court Judge Brian House refused to acquit her, saying he believed there is sufficient evidence on all the charges.
Ms. Craft, a former Chickamauga Elementary School teacher, is charged with 22 counts of child molestation, aggravated sexual battery and aggravated child molestation. The charges are against three children.
The defense is calling its first witness to the stand.
