Kids benefit when heat calls for a Blizzard

It’s Miracle Treat Day at Dairy Queen. Today only, participating Dairy Queen locations throughout North America will donate at least $1 to Children’s Miracle Network hospitals for every Blizzard treat sold.

Since 1984, Dairy Queen has raised more than $81 million for the 170 hospitals in the Children’s Miracle Network, which provides medical care, life-saving research and preventive education to help millions of children overcome diseases and injuries, according to a news release.

Local purchases will go to the local affiliate, T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital.

Participating stores include the two Hixson locations: DQ Grill & Chill at 5433 Highway 153 and the DQ/Orange Julius at 8540 Hixson Pike. Visit www.MiracleTreatDay.com to find other locations.
