Do you remember the “How hot is it?” jokes Johnny Carson was famous for? You know the ones: “It’s so hot I saw two trees fighting over a dog.”
Here’s a few I came up with. Maybe you can come up with your own.
It’s so hot, nobody cares that it’s “10 degrees cooler up here on the mountain.”
It’s so hot, a sign in front of the chicken plant on Broad Street reads REALLY Fresh Hard-Boiled Eggs.
It’s so hot, just-picked potatoes are being sold as half-baked at the Chattanooga Market.
It’s so hot, Clumpies is offering its ice cream by the scoop, half gallon, gallon and by the shorts-full.
It’s so hot, even Yankee tourists are ordering iced tea.
It’s so hot, the Tennessee Aquarium is converting one of its big fish tanks into a giant sun-tea tank.
What question would you like to ask Betty White? It appears I will have the opportunity to speak with her Sunday while she is here for Life: An Expo for Boomers & Seniors, and I thought it might be fun to get some suggestions from readers.
If you have a question for her, e-mail it to me at the address below. I will ask her as many of them as time allows.
