Woman rams car into Gordon County sheriff’s office

The Gordon County sheriff’s office in Calhoun was evacuated this morning after a woman rammed her car into the side of the building, officials said.

Around 10:30 a.m., a Georgia Bureau of Investigation bomb squad was called to the sheriff’s office to search the woman’s car and make sure there was nothing threatening inside, GBI Agent Jerry Scott said.

GBI agents are on the scene and working with sheriff’s deputies, who have evacuated the building as a precaution, officials said.
