Iran’s ‘ambassador of death’

The radical Muslim regime in Iran is celebrating the unveiling of its first unmanned bomber aircraft. Ruler Mahmoud Ahmadinejad called the jet Iran’s “ambassador of death.”

Perhaps not coincidentally, the inauguration ceremony for the aircraft – which can carry up to four cruise missiles – came just one day after Iran began fueling its first nuclear power reactor.

Iran has claimed, despite evidence to the contrary, that it is pursuing nuclear advancement only for purposes of producing energy. But it is widely believed to be trying to build nuclear weapons with which to menace or possibly attack its neighbors. Iraq has special hatred for Israel, threatening to wipe that nation off the map.

It remains to be seen what Israel will do if it learns incontrovertibly that Iran is about to get nuclear weapons. The possibility of nuclear annihilation at the hands of Iran’s fanatic regime would give Israel strong reason to seek to destroy Iran’s nuclear production facilities.

At any rate, Israel cannot rely on the “benevolence” of Ahmadinejad, who, moments after calling the new bomber jet an “ambassador of death,” said it “has a main message of peace and friendship.”

With “peace and friendship” like that, who needs war and hostility?
