Holiday happenings in LaFayette, Ga., this weekend can be described as “magical” and “amazing.”
“It’s a Magical Christmas” is the theme of the annual parade, which starts at 6 tonight. Lineup begins at 4:30 p.m. The parade route will begin at 512 S. Main St., proceeding north on Main Street through the square and turning left onto Margaret Street, ending at the parking lot of the LaFayette Sixth Grade Academy.
The seasonal debut of the “Amazing Christmas” synchronized light show follows in Joe Stock Park, 208-B N. Main St. Shows continue 6-10 nightly through Jan. 2.
More than 200,000 “dancing” lights synchronized to music are included in this brilliant display, which may be viewed from the park or in the warmth of your car.
