Bennett cartoons lighten up lives
Over time, I have been desensitized to the complaints of letters to the editor from those who fail to understand the humor of cartoonist Clay Bennett. In my humble opinion, his cartoons are quite appropriate, if not politically correct. No one can disagree that we need some things to smile about, even laugh out loud in this tough time period we live. I appreciate Bennett’s ability to lighten up the gloomy conditions of our lives.
It seems to me that today, people are no longer able to laugh at themselves. They take themselves far too seriously. For goodness sake, it’s only a cartoon!
