Nonsense replaced common sense

In a recent political discussion, my friend Tim remarked that nonsense needs to replace common sense.

Sarah Palin has had a lot to say about common sense in recent months. As a retired educator I saw many local, state and federal mandates and programs that amounted to wasteful, time-consuming nonsense.

In recent years I have observed that our Democratic and Republican leaders have legislated and promoted lots of nonsense. I believe the following 10 suggestions, if embraced by our leaders, would replace nonsense with some old-fashioned common sense.

1. Include God and the name of Christ in our public schools and country. He created and owns everything and everybody in this world!
