DAYTON, Tenn.
Traffic lights temporarily off
Dayton electric power personnel temporarily have disabled all traffic lights in the downtown area on Main Street and Market Street up to Highway 30.
Superintendent Steve Clift said the 1970’s-era wiring needs repair and the city had planned to work on it this week. Recent low temperatures and snowy, icy conditions hindered the work, he said.
Clift issued a “word of caution” to incoming downtown motorists and asked that they adhere to posted stop signs and speed limits.
