Williams’ column utterly ridiculous

Walter Williams’ opinion column titled “Immoral government” in the Sunday edition was thought-provoking, entertaining, and, as usual, utterly ridiculous.

By conflating two concepts, the philosophical notion of “self” and the legal concept of ownership, he leads us down a rabbit hole of lassez-faire economics.

To be fair, Mr. Williams is willing to stand behind the implications of his “logic.” He advocates that a person has a right to sell organs and body parts to the highest bidder. I won’t argue with his conclusions. Rather, I dispute his premise. Quite simply, the notion that you can “own” yourself is a nonsequitur.

U.S. leaders send aid to our enemies

A recent letter asked, are our elected officials brain deficient, or more frightening, is it intentional?

Our officials are brain-dead, why else would they keep sending billions (dollars) to our enemies?

Clinton gave Palestine money to rebuild cities destroyed by Israel. I suspect this money or part of it will be used to purchase more arms to attack Israel.

Our officials negotiated with a supposedly top Taliban commander to make a deal for peace talks. When the Taliban commander left, our government officials gave him millions of our money to take home with him. Later they realized he was a phony. I suspect the money given will be used to purchase more arms and ammunition to kill our troops.

North Korea will have its hand out, too.

The list could go on and on; this was just a few examples.

Is this intentional? Yes, it is.

A book, “The Planned Destruction of America,” published approximately 20 years ago, warned people what was to come.

It told steps our government will take to ensure internal economic bankruptcy for our country and how we will become a totalitarian government.

If some still have this book, keep it in a safe place. The government will deny the existence of this book.

Public faith in legal system is gone

In a Tuesday editorial (“Appalling judicial misconduct”) the writer commented on a Louisiana federal Clinton-appointee judge who was removed from office for moral turpitude, drinking, gambling, fraudulent business deals and other misconduct. The editorial stated that this judicial misconduct damages the public’s faith in our legal system.

What? What public faith in our legal system?

I haven’t had any public faith in the legal system since the days of Madelyn Murray O’Hair and Title 42. I have watched earnest patriots put in jail with hardened criminals for the heinous crime of “willful failure to file,” while these same judges order the Ten Commandments out of the courthouses and dismantle prayer and Bible reading in order to please their ACLU comrades.

Would you like to be tried in federal court for trying to uphold Americanism or any of our founding principles?

Public faith? What a joke! There is no more public faith in the legal system. If you are saved through one of these kangaroo trials, you may say you have seen a first-class miracle of God’s Providence.

I say with the Psalmist David, “I have longed for the courts of the Lord.” How about restoring non-lawyer judges?

Jesus the leader in positive impact

Jesus had the most positive impact of anyone who ever lived. This is documented in the book, “What if Jesus had Never Been Born” by Dr. Kennedy.

Christians built more hospitals, schools and orphanages than any other religion. Christians taught more to read than any other religion. No religion treats women, children and the poor better than Christianity.

The Red Cross and Salvation Army, started by Christians, have helped millions.

Even agnostic, libertarian scholar Charles Murray in his book “Human Accomplishment” said, “Christianity underlies much of world history’s human accomplishment and creative greatness!”

Jesus is the most miraculous (supernatural) and unique (unequaled) person who ever lived. As a result, the birth of Jesus was the only event in history that had the importance to change time and restart the calendar! (B.C. to A.D.)

Have a relationship with Jesus and He will change you and restart your life just like He changed time and restarted the calendar.

For positive impact, Jesus reigns supreme; no one comes close!

C.S. Lewis said it best in describing the importance of Jesus and how cold the world would be without Jesus when he said, without Jesus, it would be “always winter, but never Christmas!”

Start with foreign aid to cut deficit

I have read in your editorials your adherence to constitutional spending as the answer to our deficit problem.

I have a suggestion which satisfies your constitutional requirement and every patriotic American should agree with.

Before any American loses any benefit, let’s remove the foreign freeloaders off of the taxpayers’ back.

The largest of these is Israel. There are many more including Egypt, Pakistan, Jordan and the list goes on and on.

This foreign aid is costing us billions of dollars. Removing these foreigners from the public dole will not cure our deficit, but it is a good place to start.

Stand up, take America back

How many times can America turn its head and act as if it wasn’t happening? Julian Assange may be Time magazine’s “person of the year.” States sued by the federal government. A White House, Congress and Senate that have no ear for the will of the country.

The liberal media slamming and ridiculing people like Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck who stand up for God and liberty.

When will black and white American Christians stand up and take this country back?

If you wanted the promise of unity between the races that was given to us in the last election, the answer is simple.

Unite, stop the insanity of black and white churches and join together, and you will form the strongest bond this country has ever known.

Then and only then will America return to the greatness it has always believed it could be.

Imagine where we would be if the words we heard in the last election had come true. It’s only skin color! Look at the content of a person’s soul and the answers will be given.
