Gifts for pets

Don’t forget your furry little friends when it comes to holiday shopping.

Kathy Levy, co-owner of Bone Appetit Bakery and Groomingdales Pet Salon and Spa on Frazier Avenue, said many pet owners buy Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers for their cats and dogs.

“They also buy gifts for pets of their family and friends,” she said.

“They tend to put off buying for pets to the last minute, but they certainly do come in and buy stuff for their pets because they’re part of the family, too, and not to be left out,” Levy said.

Bone Appetit’s top sellers are decorated baked treats; a variety of squeaky, rope and chew toys; natural bones and rawhide; hair bows; collars; nail polish; gift cards for grooming; pet identification tag holders; sweaters and coats.
