Two people were critically injured on Thursday in a traffic accident on Interstate 75 and Walker Road, according to a police news release.
Chattanooga police were dispatched to a traffic accident at 4:40 p.m. Thursday at 2626 Walker Road in the parking lot of the Heath Center at Standifer Place.
Officials say a Ford F-350 car hauler driven by 33-year-old William Brown II was traveling north on I-75 in the fast lane when the vehicle suddenly veered to the right and left the road before smashing through a fence and into the parking lot of the health care center.
Brown’s truck struck a power pole, three unoccupied vehicles and a Ford Mustang driven by 33-year-old Gerry Revels, police said. The report states Revels was pulling into the parking lot at the time of the accident.
Both Brown and Revels sustained critical injuries in the crash.
Brown could face charges pending the results of a blood test, police said.
