We all know the problem if Aunt Suzie gives us a shocking purple tie for Christmas, or Uncle Joe displays terrible taste in selecting his gift for us. Exchanges may need to occur, if possible. But Amazon.com reportedly is considering a really inventive “solution.”
Amazon is mulling over a system that would let you swap an unwanted gift that comes via Amazon for a gift you want — and it has received a U.S. patent on the idea!
Who says “there is nothing new under the sun”?
If this isn’t proof that American commercial ingenuity “still lives,” just wait awhile to see what Amazon does next Christmas if you get some grotesque gift from a “thoughtful” friend or relative.
