* What: More than 1,000 customers each of Capital Toyota, North Georgia Toyota, and Toyota of Cleveland are affected by the safety recall, although only 50 cars nationwide have experienced accelerator pedal failure.
* When: Area Toyota dealerships announced that accelerator braces would begin arriving on Wednesday, and they will be ready to install the part on affected cars by the end of the week.
* Who: Dealers expect to service thousands of Toyota drivers in the region who purchased the 2009-10 RAV4, the 2009-10 Corolla, the 2009-10 Matrix, the 2005-10 Avalon, the 2007-10 Camry, the 2010 Highlander, the 2007-10 Tundra, and the 2008-10 Sequoia. Dealers are available to service all customers, even those who bought their cars elsewhere, and customers should make an appointment.
* How long to fix: Toyota said installing the simple brace should take no more than 30 to 45 minutes. Dealers estimate that the bulk of repairs in the area should be complete within the month.
