Q: How can I keep up my plan to exercise regularly?

A: After a determined start to the “new year exercise regimen,” many people slack off or stop altogether. Tips to stay on track:

* If you get bored walking alone, phone a friend while walking to pass the time.

* Vary your routine if you burn out easily. Try walking, a spin class, yoga, hikes on our lovely local trails, swimming, weight lifting, etc.

* Record your progress in number of days you exercise per week, not pounds lost day to day.
