WEST VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) – Olympic women’s snowboardcross has been delayed two hours because of fog and rain on Cypress Mountain.
Lindsey Jacobellis is the favorite in the event. The American has been waiting four years to erase her showboating mistake from the Turin Games in which she cost herself a gold medal and had to settle for silver when she fell on the next-to-last jump.
The qualifying runs of snowboardcross are now scheduled for noon Tuesday, with the finals set for 2:15 p.m. PST.
Also, the men’s and women’s halfpipe training have been shortened.
