Gann jurors hear taped confession

Hamilton County jurors this morning heard Kenneth Gann’s typed confession in his first-degree murder trial.

In the recording, he admits to strangling Robyn Burns Gann to death, noting that it took about four minutes for her to die.

Afterward, prosecutors held the entire courtroom still and silent for four minutes in an apparent attempt to demonstrate how long the strangling took.

Prosecutors claim Mr. Gann planned the killing. In the audio recording, however, Mr. Gann said he “snapped” over what he said was his wife’s drug use and threats to withhold visitation with their child.

The trial continues this afternoon with testimony expected from the medical examiner.
