WHISTLER, British Columbia (AP) – Swiss skier Dominique Gisin has crashed while landing the final jump of the Olympic downhill.
Gisin got twisted around and landed hard, prompting one ski to pop off. As she was sliding downhill, Gisin hit a bump on the side of the course, launching her back into the air. She then lost her other ski, landed hard on her back and slid down into the finish area, drawing gasps from the crowd.
Gisin sat right up, though, and walked away under her own power.
Injury details are not immediately available.
