Technical Innovation of Nashville was awarded a $516,000 contract for the equipment to go inside the $40 million VW Training Academy’s conference center.
“It will be for training large groups, other special meetings and staff,” said City Engineer Bill Payne to the city’s Industrial Development Board, which OK’ed the contract.
VW has hired about 400 people so far, including several dozen production workers.
