Rumors circulating this week that Hamilton County Schools would close the Dawn School facility for special education students are not true, officials said this morning.
Instead, the school will be part of a districtwide review of all special education services, system spokeswoman Danielle Clark said.
The review could change the way some of the programs operate, Ms. Clark said, but there are no immediate plans to close Dawn.
When asked whether students at the school could be transferred to other Hamilton County schools, Ms. Clark said “not without parent input.”
