Is the “worst” really over in Haiti, as aftershocks continue from the disastrous earthquake that has killed and injured countless thousands of people?
What now for the 9 million survivors, who were in poverty before the destructive quake and obviously are in worse shape after?
Fortunately, countless people of good will, agencies of compassion and governments are seeking to rush help, but it is hard for aid to “get there” and to the people.
We commend the many people and organizations reaching out in varied ways to alleviate horrible pain.
