Chattanooga Police have arrested two subjects and charged them in connection with the burglary and theft at Normal Park Elemementary School.
Last night, patrol officers responded to Best Buy at Hamilton Place after Geek Squad employees reported two men were trying to get them to change passwords on computers, said Lt. Kim Noorbergen, police spokeswoman.
It was apparent when the computers were turned on that they belonged to the Hamilton County School System.
Being aware of all the publicity surrounding dozens of recent public school computer thefts — the most recent of which occurred at Normal Park — the employees called police.
Police have now charged Justin Hill, 26, and Ivan Hill, 19, with the thefts. Justin Hill has been charged with burglary, theft over $1,000 and felony vandalism. Ivan Hill was charged with theft over $1,000.
Police have recovered five Dell laptop computers, a Mac keyboard, a Radio Shack megaphone and walkie-talkies, Lt. Noorbergen said.
