EPB crews worked overnight to restore power to about 4,000 customers.
They will continue working today to bring service back to the remaining 3,000 customers with outages, according to a statement this morning from the utility.
About 1,000 of those outages are on Lookout Mountain, the rest are scattered.
EPB also will work on any new outages that may occur today, like those experienced Saturday, if trees continue to fall.
“We are doing all we can to get everyone’s power back on and we expect the restoration effort will need to continue throughout today and perhaps into tonight, EPB spokeswoman Lacie Newton said in an e-mail.
EPB is asking that people without power contact the utility.
