Five Chattanooga Fire Department companies extinguished a blaze at a Hixson home this morning.
Firefighters responded to 5412 May Circle at 6:43 a.m., according to a fire department release.
Battalion fire Chief Rick Sewell said most of the blaze was in an attached garage and was beginning to spread into the house. Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control fairly quickly, limiting the fire damage to the garage and the kitchen, he said.
