The Chattanooga Zoo at Warner Park will host its second Cocktails for Conservation benefit tonight from 6 to 8 o’clock.
“It’s a time to walk around the zoo at night, see the animals and have fun with friends,” said Ashley Lattier, development director of zoo. “When it cools down at night, the animals tend to be more active than they are in the day.”
Lattier said the early evening party will include cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, so guests must be 21 or older. Casual attire is recommended.
Tickets are $20 until 5 p.m. today; $30 at the gate. Proceeds will benefit the Snow Leopard Trust. The local zoo is in partnership with the trust to raise awareness for field research and breeding projects for this endangered species.
