As part of Bare Escentuals’ grand opening today at Hamilton Place, the MaryEllen Locher Foundation is partnering with the cosmetic retailer for two days of “BEautiful” activities.
The “Giving Is BEautiful” events will take place 11 a.m.-6 p.m. today and Saturday on the Comcast Stage.
Volunteers and breast cancer survivors with the MaryEllen Locher Foundation will provide educational literature, along with information on the foundation’s scholarship program.
Shoppers may bid in a silent auction featuring “BEautiful” packages including items from Mori Luggage, JCPenney Styling Salon and Cache.
Makeup artists from Bare Escentuals will provide complementary “make-unders” to local breast cancer survivors. Cupcake Diva will hand out 200 mini-cupcakes each day to people making a donation to the foundation.
Entertainment will be provided by vocalists and dancers from Ginger Brown’s Dance Academy. They’ll perform hits from “Rock and Roll Spectacular,” which is now playing at the Choo Choo Centennial Theater.
The new Bare Escentuals boutique is on the upper level of the mall, across from Dillard’s Men, Home & Kids store. The nationally known line’s mineral makeup is free of preservatives, fillers and binders.
