Organizers of the National Moofest Dairy Festival are shaking things up this year by adding a second day to the schedule.
“The past two years have been so successful, we need two days to accommodate all the activities, all the music, all the food and all the fun,” according to the event’s website.
In addition to activities Saturday and Sunday, a street festival will put the community in a festive mood as crews put finishing touches on the festival site. Smooth Sailing and Choo Choo Chicks will perform at 7 and 8 p.m. respectively.
Among the highlights of the weekend are a series of contests. Saturday starts with Scoop Stackin’ competitions at 10:30 a.m. Participants, divided by age groups, will see who can stack the most scoops of ice cream on a cone in a designated time.
