Whitfield names 7 new principals
Seven new principals were named in Whitfield County on Tuesday in response to numerous layoffs over the past few weeks, officials said.
“These principals have the leadership skills to continue building the capacity for leadership in others,” Superintendent Danny Hayes said. “We are excited about the new possibilities each principal will bring to their students, teachers, support staff and their school’s community.”
The new principals are: Robyn Baggett, Valley Point Middle; Joe Barnett, New Hope Middle; Tami Dodd, Antioch Elementary; Ben Hunt, Eastside Elementary; Lisa Jones, Varnell Elementary; George Kopcsak, Eastbrook Middle; and Chris Parker, Valley Point Elementary.
