* Hixson High School’s class of 1990 is holding a reunion June 25-27. The weekend begins with a family picnic on Friday at 5 p.m. at Vandergriff Park, 312 Gadd Road. Bring your own food, drink, and a dessert to share, along with folding chairs and/or blankets. Hixson High classes of 1989 and 1991 are also invited. The Janet Yanosko Elkins Memorial Golf Tournament will begin at 8 a.m. Saturday at Moccasin Bend Golf Course. The co-ed, select-shot tourney costs $39 per person, which includes lunch, and benefits the American Cancer Society. For registration and payment, log onto hixsonhigh1990.com. A dance will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Mountain City Club, 729 Chestnut St. The $55 registration includes music, dancing, heavy hors d’oeuvres and dessert.
