According to a Polk County 911 dispatcher, one person is dead after a shooting Sunday night.
The dispatcher, who did not want to be identified, said officials would not reveal any names until the sheriff issues a news release Monday morning.
The news comes during the same weekend that the Polk County Sheriff’s Department busted a major cockfighting ring Saturday evening. About 100 people have been charged with misdemeanors in that matter, officials said.
