CLEVELAND, Tenn. — Lean times in the building trades have brought a flurry of construction work to Bradley County and Cleveland City schools.
Reporting on the bidding process for a new fine arts center at Bradley Central High School, Cason Conn recently told the County School Board that bids, mostly from local contractors, were surprisingly low.
“You could even say scary low,” he said. “A lot of people are hungry out there.”
Mr. Conn’s company, TriCon Inc., is the manager for the project.
The county is also building a new elementary school this summer.
