Dog lovers have two more opportunities to take their canine companions to a Chattanooga Lookouts game. Dogs on the Diamond fundraisers for McKamey Animal Care and Adoption Center are scheduled at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, July 25, and 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 4.
According to the center’s volunteer/rescue coordinator, Tricia Sebes, the most recent Dogs on the Diamond, on June 23, was the first to be held during a night game, which was a relief from the heat.
About 100 dogs and their owners attended the event, she said.
“We offer fresh, cold water for all of the dogs during the game as well as a canopy tent for shade along with a large fan to keep the dogs cool,” she said.
Participants also receive goody bags, and bags are available for disposing of waste.
