Krystal has shut down its Dayton Boulevard restaurant in Red Bank for poor performance, according to spokesman Brian Cooley.
“This particular unit, which was originally opened in 1977, was performing poorly due to changes in traffic patterns and changes in population over the years,” Mr. Cooley said.
Another Krystal is in Hixson, three miles away, he said. The store closure is not part of a larger strategy nor related to the difficult economy, he said.
“They opened up five new locations within the last year, with one of them in Florida setting record opening week sales,” he said.
