NASHVILLE, Tenn. – A southern economic development group says a partnership that promotes growth and job creation in Tennessee is the best example of innovation last year.
The Southern Growth Policies Board gave its 2010 Innovator Award to the partnership between the state’s Three-Star Program and the nonprofit Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence.
The Three-Star Program helps communities set economic goals while the TNCPE follows up by giving coaching and feedback to help those communities that reach their goals.
The Southern Growth Policies Board is a North Carolina-based nonpartisan think tank that promotes innovative economic development.
