CHARLOTTE, N.C. – UTC senior Ty Patterson has been released from an area hospital and attended the Lady Mocs’ game earlier this afternoon.
Patterson collapsed to the floor Saturday during the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s loss to the College of Charleston.
Mocs coach John Shulman said doctors told him that Patterson suffered a sudden cardiac collapse.
Patterson underwent a battery of tests at Carolina Medical Center late Saturday and early Sunday before getting released.
“The humorous part is that he said, ‘Coach, the last thing I remember is walking up to you and seeing two of you,'” Shulman said. “He doesn’t remember the game. He doesn’t remember anything.”
