CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Ty Patterson arrived at Time Warner Arena on Sunday and grabbed a seat next to Chris Early.
A few minutes later he moved to sit next to Jasper Williams during the Lady Mocs’ 60-49 win over Samford in the Southern Conference basketball tournament.
The last time his teammates saw Patterson, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga senior had emergency medical technicians attending to him on the hardwood in Bojangles Coliseum on Saturday night.
“The humorous part is that he said, ‘Coach, the last thing I remember is walking up to you and seeing two of you,'” UTC coach John Shulman said Sunday. “He doesn’t remember the game. He doesn’t remember anything.”
Patterson was released from Carolina Medical Center and will return to Chattanooga after spending spring break with family at home in Anderson, S.C.
