Georgia: Molestation trial delayed until April

The trial for the Chickamauga kindergarten teacher charged with child molestation has been continued, court sources said this afternoon.

Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Brian House ordered the trial for Tonya Craft, which was scheduled to start Monday, be moved to April 12.

The order was made after several motions were filed Monday to continue the trial.

Ms. Craft has been charged with 22 counts of child molestation, aggravated sexual battery, aggravated child molestation involving three children, court records show.

Tonight, several of Ms. Craft’s friends are hosting a charity benefit at Foodworks in Chattanooga to earn money for her court fees.
