Barbara Bailey Hutchison performs tonight in Spring City

She has sung hundreds of commercials for McDonald’s, Hallmark Cards, Heinz and other national advertisers, so her voice is familiar to millions of television viewers and radio listeners, even if they can’t put a name to it.

Tonight, Barbara Bailey Hutchison will present a concert of hits (and a few jingles) at Tennessee Valley Theatre in Spring City.

The Grammy Award-winning folk singer/songwriter has appeared at the White House three times and performed across the United States, Japan, Korea, the Philippines and Thailand.

Though her music tends to defy categorization, her work is lyric-driven, melodic and often humorous. Her topics often speak to issues of tolerance and human rights, as well as personal relationships and funny circumstances.

Her concerts are characterized by “profound thoughts, deep feelings and a wicked sense of humor,” according to her press material.
