As a recycling advocate, I wanted to congratulate Orange Grove Center for its new Document Destruction program at the John F. Germ Recycling Center. Locking containers are provided for storage of confidential documents and a “certificate of destruction” is provided after the paper is shredded to 5/16 of an inch, pulped and recycled. Orange Grove provides meaningful jobs and training opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities and all staff are trained on confidentiality practices and required to pass state and federal background checks.
