A British woman terrorized several residents of a housing unit. She stole cash and other property from residents, and she even slashed one tenant with a razor. For her violent misdeeds, she was sentenced to two months in prison.
But a man who owns a pub was fined the equivalent of about $15,000 for the “crime” of allowing someone to light up a cigarette on his property. When he refused to pay, he was sentenced to six months in prison.
