Bin Laden’s murder threat

Most Americans probably are not familiar with the name Khalid Sheik Mohammed. But we can’t ignore him.

He was caught in Pakistan in 2003, and has been charged with murder and war crimes relating to the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.

Mohammed also has boasted that he personally — “with my blessed right hand” — decapitated Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, who was found murdered in Pakistan in 2002.

Mohammed fortunately was captured and is currently being held at the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, awaiting fair trial. That’s something Mohammed and his fellow terrorists have never given any of their victims.

Mohammed currently is in the news again because Osama bin Laden — the major terrorist who unfortunately has eluded capture and reportedly is hiding in a cave in a border area of Pakistan, near Afghanistan — has personally entered the case of Mohammed.

Bin Laden has sent an audio threat that if Mohammed is executed, bin Laden’s al-Qaida terrorist organization will kill any American who may fall into al-Qaida hands.

We hope that someday soon bin Laden will be captured. What a shame it is that, after all of these years of his evil, bin Laden has managed to elude capture and thus escape the real justice that his many evils indicate he so richly deserves.
