Parkridge Medical Center joined relief efforts for Haiti, donating medical supplies for a six-day mission trip.
Julia Flanagan, a licensed professional counselor with Plaza Counseling Associates, approached the hospital on behalf of the nine-person mission team that is traveling to Haiti as part of the Presbyterian Church in America’s Mission to the World Disaster Response Ministry.
“I am so appreciative of Parkridge administration and Director of Pharmacy Frank Bradford for coordinating this donation so quickly,” said Ms. Flanagan.
“We expect to see around 100 patients a day, so these supplies will certainly be put to good use.”
Parkridge Medical Center’s parent company, HCA, announced in January that it established the HCA Haiti Relief Fund, which matches employee contributions and provides in-kind donations for a $1 million total contribution to relief efforts.
