Bradley County sheriff’s deputies are investigating a possible drowning today in a landscape pond on Sandridge Road.
Deputies responded to a call at 12:09 p.m., and before they arrived dispatchers learned that a 2-year-old boy was taken by family members to a church on Springplace Road to meet medical personnel, according to a sheriff’s release.
The child was taken to Skyridge Medical Center and then transferred to T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga, officials said.
Sheriff’s investigators are looking into the matter, and the child’s condition has not been released.
